Design Team News: W/B 27 August 2018

Hello, lovely friends! Well, I seem to be back into the swing of things after my holiday and fully in the throes of preparing for Scraptember. As well as making and sharing design team projects and setting up my bullet journal for the coming month, I’ve had a thorough sort-out of my craft shed and bought some new storage so I can access all my bits and bobs more readily. Exciting times!

Anyway, here are the design team cards I’ve shared this week. You can read a tutorial on how to make the Christmas card over on the Mama Makes blog, and there’s a tutorial on how to make the Sorry card over on The Little Paper Tree’s blog. For a closer look, you can click on all the images in this post.

And here is my bullet journal set-up for September, featuring stickers by EllieBeth Designs UK, stamps by Mama Makes and stamps and a stencil by Skull and Cross Buns. I love the combination of teal and purple in the Here Be Dragons sticker collection – it’s so peaceful. And the dragons themselves are just gorgeous!

Today is also the day I reveal the Cheeky Studio products I’ll be working with during September. The ephemera packs are so beautiful; I can’t wait to show you what I make with them!

Finally, this isn’t design team work, but I’ve also squeezed in one Travelers Notebook spread created using elements from the Lottie Loves Paper August Kit and extras. I love the Amy Tangerine papers from the Shine On pack. They’re so vibrant and were perfect for scrapping a family outing to our local garden centre. I’m very excited to see what the September kit contains!

That’s it for now. Thanks for stopping by! xxx

The Little Paper Tree: Sorry Card

Hello! It’s Natalie here, again, back with my second August tutorial for The Little Paper Tree: another card made using the Jordan Alphabet Outline stamp set and a Catherine Pooler Stencil. Every time I use these stamps, I fall a little bit more in love with them! They appear so simple, but they can create a real impact.

Cheeky Studio: Explorer Travelers Notebook Layout

For my last August Cheeky Studio project, I created this double-page spread in the travelers notebook I’m making for my daughter. I used so many flowers to decorate these pages, but once I started I couldn’t seem to stop. They all worked so perfectly with the photos!

The Wild Flowers ephemera sets 1, 3 and 4 are available to order on the Cheeky Studio website. Don’t forget: you can use my discount code natalie1o to receive a 10% discount on your order!

The sentiments were stamped with stamps from the Mama Makes Hello Adventure stamp set.

Design Team News: W/B 20 August 2018

Hello, lovely friends! Well, it’s been a bit of a quiet week for me. I think I’m still recovering from the family holiday, so I’ve been taking care of myself by dialing things back a notch. Here are this week’s design team projects:

I created the ‘well done’ card in anticipation of my son receiving his GCSE results yesterday. So glad I did, because he did great and has secured his place at the college he really wanted to go to.

I’ve been having another play with the August kit and other goodies I ordered from Lottie Loves Paper. I used them on this 12×12 scrapbook layout. The colours are right up my street!

And I’ve had a few custom card orders come in, so I dusted off my alcohol inks and created this A4 size ‘Good Luck’ card. I found the gold dlitter tape in The Works while on holiday. It’s 2 inches wide and I love it!

That’s all for now.

Thanks for stopping by!

Have a great week! xxx

Cheeky Studio: Just Bloom Scrapbook Layout

My sixth Cheeky Studio August project is a 12×12 scrapbook layout featuring a gorgeous photo of my daughter and a whole bunch of floral pieces from all three of the Wild flower ephemera I have. I just love the way the flowers frame the photo.

Do you know someone who needs a little encouragement to bloom? Why not make them a layout like this?

The Wild Flowers ephemera sets 1, 3 and 4 are available to order on the Cheeky Studio website. Don’t forget: you can use my discount code natalie1o to receive a 10% discount on your order!

EllieBeth Designs UK: Hazard Planning

Hello, again! It’s me, Natalie, back with another post for the EBDUK blog. If you read my last post, you’ll know that my planner has become my mental illness recovery companion: a creative tool for managing my life, an authentic record of the wellness journey I’m on, and a daily dose of colour, light and hope. In today’s post, I’d like to share one of the way I use my bullet journal to increase my mental resilience and help me rediscover wellness: hazard planning.

Hazard planning is something I learned about at Recovery College during a workshop on overcoming the obstacles in our lives.
