Scraptember 2018: A Month of Memory-Keeping

Last week, I was thinking about what Cheeky Studio design team projects to make for September when a word popped into my head: scraptember. Ooh, I thought, I wonder if that’s a thing, so I asked the other members of the Cheeky Studio design team if it was a thing in the scrapbooking world. Turns out it’s not! Not in a big way, anyway – coincidentally, one of the other DT members is doing a video-a-day with a group of other scrappy YouTubers and calling it Scraptember.

Long story short: I’ve decided to try to make Scraptember a thing and have come up with a plan. The idea is to create a new memory-keeping layout EVERY DAY for the entire month – yep, that’s 30 layouts! (But don’t worry if you haven’t got the time or the energy for that many though. Feel free to do as many or as few as you’re able.) Also, if you share your Scraptember creations on social media, please use the hashtags #scraptember and #scraptember2018 so we can see what you’ve made. And that’s it.

Finally, here are the official Scraptember prompts. You don’t have to use them but there there for some creative inspiration if you need it. Use all, some or none. Do them in order or out of order. Take them literally or figuratively. Whatever works for you!

There are already lots of people who have said they’re going to join in, and I’ve got a collaboration or two lined up, so keep your eyes and ears open for updates.

Thanks for stopping by! xxx
