How to Survive a Crafty Spending Freeze

Hello! In today’s video I share 14 top tips for surviving a crafty spending freeze. This is part of my Crafting Out Loud series in which I chat about crafting issues while creating something, so you’ve got something interesting to watch as well as something interesting to listen to – hopefully!

EllieBeth Designs UK: Online Crafternoon for Mind

Hello and welcome! This is a live video I did in the EllieBeth Designs UK Facebook Group’s Online Crafternoon for Mind, the Mental Health Charity. Sorry about the low resolution, but that’s how Facebook Live videos record. Thanks for watching!

Come join the Crafting Out Loud Facebook group. We are a supportive bunch of arters and crafters sharing our makes, tricks and tips with each other.

If you’d like to financially support my channel please visit my online shop, StonetableDesignsUK, and buy one of my unique, handmade cards, bookmarks or sticker sets. Thank you!

Crafting Out Loud: Mind Fundraiser a Success!

If you’ve been here before, you may recall that I’ve been busy making cards to sell at a fundraiser for Mind, the mental health charity. Well, today The Crafty Cuppa Club (a monthly craft group that I help run) held a Mind Craft-Til-Noon. We invited people to come along as usual, but instead of paying the normal £2 fee, we asked them to donate some money to Mind. We also sold some crafty makes, including my cards. Here are some photos from the event:

In total, we raised £188 for Mind, which is fantastic!

Thank you to everyone who came along and supported the event, and an especially big thank you to everyone who made cakes and helped set up and clear away. You’re all stars!

Thanks for stopping by! Back soon. xxx

The Crafty Cuppa Club: Mind Fundraiser

Hello, lovely friends!

I wanted to let you know about a special event we’re running at The Crafty Cuppa Club on Monday 16 July from 10am – 12pm at Napier Hall. It will be a special fundraiser for Mind, the mental health charity.

The meeting will run as normal, with an optional craft activity plus all the usual bits and bobs to play with, and you are still most welcome to bring along whatever project you’ve been working on at home, but there will be cakes (as well as biscuits!) and a table of crafty bits to buy from. Also, instead of paying the usual £2 fee, we ask that you make a donation, however big or small, to Mind – there will be a collection jar for you to put your money in.

If you have any craft supplies that you’d like to de-stash, or any items you’ve made that you’d like to donate, please bring them along on the morning for the crafty bits table. All proceeds from the sale of these items will go to Mind. I’ve been busy making some watercolour cards to sell.

Finally, please invite your friends, family and neighbours to this event, and even if you don’t consider yourself to be arty or crafty, do feel free to come along and enjoy a cuppa, a slice of cake and a good natter with friends. The more the merrier!

Hope to see you there!

Crafting Out Loud Facebook Group: Now Open!

Hello! After garnering opinion via a poll on my YouTube channel, I’ve decided to start a Facebook group called Crafting Out Loud. It’s a group for sharing arts and crafts projects with one another, and for sharing crafting tricks, tips and advice.

To help build this group into a thriving community, the following rules are in place:

1. Share your arts and crafts projects with the group by posting photos or videos *directly* to the group.

2. Only add links to other websites (e.g. blogs/YouTube/shops etc) in the comments of posts, not in the posts themselves.

3. When commenting on other people’s projects, be encouraging. Only offer constructive feedback if it has been explicitly requested.

4. All posts must relate to arts and crafts. Any off-topic posts will be removed.

5. No selling, no shop sales, no swapping, no in search of, no RAK posts or anything along those lines. We want to keep this group drama-free, pressure-free and focused on actual arts and crafts.

6. Members of design teams are welcome to share their makes here as long as links to shops are only shared in the comments, *not* in the posts themselves

7. Do not block any of the group admins.

By becoming a member of this group you agree to abide by these rules. Members who repeatedly break these rules may be removed from the group without warning. These rules are subject to change.

And that’s it for now! If this group sounds like a place you’d like to hang out, then follow this link. Thanks!

Happy crafting! xxx
