Hello, lovely friends! This week on YouTube, I shared three videos that you might like to watch. On Sunday, I shared the making of two Fathers Day cards. On Wednesday, I showed you how I created some artist trading coins to take to the EllieBeth Designs UK Annual Event on Saturday. And on Friday, I created a sea-themed page in my art journal for World Music Day – it’ll make sense if you watch it!
Next week, I’ll be setting up my bullet journal for July 2019 and taking part in a YouTube premier hop organised by the lovely Joie de Fi. Hope to see you there!
This Saturday, I’ll be selling my cards at our local Health and Wellbeing Day (which is also a craft fayre!) but I just realised I’ve run out of business cards, so I’ve made some more. Here’s the process video.
From now on, I’m going to be donating 25p from the sale of every card I sell to the Recovery College. They’re trying to raise funds to publish a new ‘Hope’ book, the first edition of which I was given in hospital and still have today. So, hopefully (See what I did there?), I’ll sell lots of cards and be able to donate lots of money to the college.
Hello! For my Cheeky Studio Design Team makes this week, I created two projects. The first is this birthday card which features two clusters from the Sweet Succulents ephemera pack. I love the colours in these pieces; they’re so soft and gentle. Before sticking the clusters to the page and trimming their edges, I splattered the card with some watered-down Distress Oxide inks to make the two clusters feel connected and part of the same card.
For my second make, I created a 12×12 scrapbook layout documenting my daughter’s hate-hate relationship with homework. These photos have always made me chuckle, so they definitely deserve a layout of their own. I used the August kit from Cheeky Studio which is based on the Notebook Nancy ephemera pack, from which I pulled the iPad, mobile phone and notebooks – all of which my kids use for their homework. If you’d like to see how this layout came together, you can watch the video below.
Don’t forget you can get 10% off your orders at Cheeky Studio with my discount code: natalie10. (Excluding the Cheeky Kit Club.)
Hello! Today, I am on the Mama Makes blog with a tutorial on how to make this sparkly Get Well Wishes card, using the Mama Makes Funky Borders stamp set and the Mama Makes Sending Hugs stamp set. So, if you’d like to take a look at the instructions, step this way …
Hello! It’s me, Natalie, back with the second of two cards made using the Catherine Pooler Designs Starlight Stamp. This card is a pop-up card. I had lots of fun figuring how to make the stars jump up as the card was opened! As always, if you want to try your hand at this make, you can find the instructions and product links over at The Little Paper Tree.
This is my last tutorial for The Little Paper Tree as, after eight months, I feel it’s time to move on to pastures new. I would like to Jeni and Janet for having me on the team and wish them all the best in the future.
